My inner cynic says that world peace will happen when we are all dead.

My heart tells me to have faith in humans, even though we are a self-destructive species.

Here's a thought: Maybe we destroy things for we are searching for peace, and in the end the only peace we can find is death, therefore we kill all to achieve this peace.

If a tree falls in a forrest, and no on hears it - does it make a sound? If we irradicate ourselves, will there still be peace? Dun think so.

Not even plants live peacefully, they will fight eachother for light, and cling to life in which ways they can. Life is pain as a fat man once said.

If we were brought to nothing, there would be nothing - not even peace.

Don't be so cynical. Anyway, there was world peace before. A long, long time ago, before civilisation. When there was just nomadic tribes. They rarely fought, because they appreciated the value of a human life. And there wasn't many people the, so everyone counted.
