Actually the cup does not say 'I am gay and proud of it'. Or at least that isn't how I inferred it. From what I have read heard this is all the closer they get to that type of statement

Quite frankly I see nothing wrong cause it can be read in more then just that way. Just about anything, if not everything, written can have different meanings to different people.
