not neccesarily. The first time I heard I thought it dealt with people who hid their crushes due to fear of rejection and or negative peer pressure. It was only after I read how 'they' linked it, that I could interpret it that way.

However, as with all quotes and such, 'it is all in the eye of the beholder(reader)'. You can make just about anything offensive in someway or another. So I don't worry about this sort of stuff. Particually when is actually positive.
