Trying to boost sales for a game that doesn't sell much (at least in the US) with their most popular series... it's not all that surpising they're doing this actually, pretty smart on their part, and if I actually do like DW, I won't care at all they did it.

I have to commend them on a fine marketing decision. Does this apply to both the North American release and the Japanese release? Dragon Warrior is more popular than Final Fantasy in Japan, and I think that including the demo with that would definitely be a good move.

I have never played any of the Dragon Warrior games and was just wandering if anyone would recommend this game even if it didn't come with the free demo of FFXII

I'll wait for the full game before buying. However, if there's a useful demo with the local PS2 magazine, I'll get it - but for some odd reason, we don't seem to get playable demos until after the game's been released
