The way they love Greenday, one hate vote = the world.

Here's a fun game to play with junior high Green Day fans. Ask them what their favorite song from Dookie was or ask if they thought Insomnia was a better album than Nimrod and watch them blankly stare at you in bewilderment.

My favourite song from Dookie is probably one of Longview, Welcome to Paradise, When I Come Around and Having a Blast, and Insomnia is a good album but not as good as Nimrod. Kerplunk! Kills them all. B)

System of a Down. SOME of their music is decent, but they make up for it by being, well, stupid.
Slipknot. There's no way I'll give my money to people that try to make themselves look that dumb.
    ICP. See above two.
Nirvana. Face it, Kurt Kerbang really was a loser. And so are you.
Marilyn Manson. Do I really need to explain this?

There's eight. Maybe I'll think of a couple more.
System of a Down? How d'you figure, big foot? Stupid? How so? Left-wing, maybe? And they like vikings. Is that it? What are you, viking-fascist?
Yes, Kurt Cobain was a loser, everyone knows that, even he knew that (hence the suicide), but that's no reflection on the band.
And a vote for dear old Mr. Manson?! Whiiiiiiieeeeee?!

(By the way, the "Kurt Kerbang" was supposed to be a comical reference to his suicide. Because let's face it, there really wasn't much sad about it.)
Like Fishy said, I was talking about Busted. I think you misunderstood
'public school boys'. In Britain that means that they go to a private school (it's strange, I know). Stupid kids dragged through a private school education they probably couldn't have cared less about. Even with that misunderstanding, the rest of it didn't match.
*Cobain came from some crappy place in Seattle, normal school.
*The band was at first friends, not boys rounded up, but as the old drummer left they hired another, Grohl. They actually had input.
*Cobain's hair was rather famous for it's complete lack of style.
*And Nirvana was a pretty good name, at least compared to Busted.
*Also, they were good. Kinda dull, I think, but good. A hell of a lot better than Busted, the two can never be compared (for one thing, Nirvana plugged their instruments in). It'll be kinda hard to deny that Nirvana were bad musicians.

Whether you misunderstand my limey language or not, you knew that I meant that about busted. In the post that I said that, I talked only about Busted. Not nirvana. You knew. you took it completely out of context. And used it against me? Kinda pathetic, really. Just a tad.
System of a Down...they do have some good music. But "Prison Song" was not only terrible, but a neo-liberal adolescent "this is why we should hate the government" rant. Granted, they're not as bad as the rest of the people on my list.
Fishy got this one well. I agree. And 'neo-liberal'? What the hell is that supposed to mean?
As for Manson... Again, some of his music is good. Some is very bad. AndI disagree with quite a bit of what he "sings" about. And the way that freaky bastard looks.
Yes. Some of his music is good, some not so good. The odd bit just unbearably awful. Whether or not you agree with the messages in his songs doesn't reflect on how good a musician he is. They're damn good messages, though. But they don't reflect on the bands skill. Nor does his appearence. So many people call him crap, some before ever hearing his music, on the basis that he's a weirdo. He is. That was the idea, but it's basically small-minded crap and fascism.
And "sings"? He sings. Listen to the damn music and you'll find that it's pretty obvious.

Just because they didn't go to a private school in Seattle didn't mean they weren't stupid kids that didn't give a damn about their education. You have that all over. And yes, I knew you weren't talking about Nirvana, but it applies to both groups.

*Cobain came from some crappy place in Seattle, normal school.
Seattle is a crappy place. He wasn't special, he came from the same background everybody else did.

*The band was at first friends, not boys rounded up, but as the old drummer left they hired another, Grohl. They actually had input.
Which is why they didn't have much talent. I could get a bunch of my friends together and start a band, but that doesn't mean it would be good. Good for them, they hired a drummer with a little more talent (any talent at all).

*Cobain's hair was rather famous for it's complete lack of style.
Which was a style. Get it?

*And Nirvana was a pretty good name, at least compared to Busted.
*Also, they were good. Kinda dull, I think, but good. A hell of a lot better than Busted, the two can never be compared (for one thing, Nirvana plugged their instruments in).
    I haven't listened to Busted.

It'll be kinda hard to deny that Nirvana were bad musicians.
You're either severely confused, or that was a mistake. Because I agree, it WOULD be hard to deny that Nirvana was bad.

That's exactly what it is, a bunch of liberal adolescent ranting about why we should hate the government. "The evil government won't let me do whatever the hell I want, so they're wrong". Left-wing propaganda in a song -- a bad song, at that. The American prison system isn't hugely overcrowded, and the overcrowding that does occur isn't a product of what crimes they committed, but why they haven't been convinced not to commit those crimes again. America is way too concerned about "rights of the accused" and "criminal rights" to establish good prisons -- which is why most people in prison are repeat offenders. And contrary to what anybody might think, nobody is sent to prison because they've been caught smoking pot one time.

Yes. Some of his music is good, some not so good. The odd bit just unbearably awful. Whether or not you agree with the messages in his songs doesn't reflect on how good a musician he is. What's small-minded crap and fascism, not liking him, or the crap he tries to pull off as music? The messages he puts in his music, you can call them good or you can call them bad. I don't like listening to him, and I don't like his music. That's why I voted for him.

And "sings"? He sings. Listen to the damn music and you'll find that it's pretty obvious.
Sings, says, screams, moans, whatever you want to call it.

I voted for people and bands I don't like listening to. If you do like listening to them...good for you. Enjoy it. Nobody's stopping you. There are people here who voted for people/bands I do like listening to. They don't. Good for them. They don't have to. I'll listen to them and be happy doing it, and they'll listen to somebody else, maybe somebody I don't like listening to, and they'll be happy doing it. Yay. If you don't like who I vote for, get over it. Nobody else is throwing fits because you voted for somebody they don't like. You'll grow up one day and realize not everybody agrees with you.

Traitorfish: Death isn't always a bad thing. People die. Gangster punks get shot by other gangster punks. Emo druggie losers kill themselves. It happens, all the time. There's nothing special about it happening to people that, for some reason, are famous.

Kurt Cobain didn't go to a private school that was busted

*Cobain came from some crappy place in Seattle, normal school.
Seattle is a crappy place. He wasn't special, he came from the same background everybody else did.
He didn't come from the same backround as most people do he had a crap family and actually lived with his grandma and under a bridge at one point.

*The band was at first friends, not boys rounded up, but as the old drummer left they hired another, Grohl. They actually had input.

Busted have about as much talent as a donkeys arse if not less and at least Nirvana liked each other and didn't split up because some moron with catapillas stuck to his forehead thought he was better than everybodyelse.

then why are you sticking up for them?

you said you don't like him because he looks weird which is small minded facism.
