Yeah God is being a jerk to us right now lol . Yeah I agree with you man. Canada looks better and better by each passing day. Hopefully We don't get bombed by the time we all flee for Canada.Originally Posted by Dragonfire

Yes, God does speake to Bush. And he's saying "take a hint". ( ad-libbed from the same article.somehow this is Bush's fault... not to get off topic, but since Bush was appointed to office (I think Bill Maher said it like this), we've lost: almost all of our allies, the surplus, 4 airliners, 2 trade towers, a piece of the pentagon, and the City of New Orleans. Now mother nature wants to finish us off.)
I apoligize for this incase of offense:
this is just nature and global warming.
It's mostly natural currents letting warmer currents into the atlantic waters and gulf waters of mexico and not some higher existence. Global warming plays it's part in this but alot of Americans wont admit it because they're making so much money from it.
Thats my part done and once again I aplogize for offense.
This Hurricane is bigger than Katrina and it could wipe Texas and New orleans off the map on a direct hit tonight or tomrrow.

I do agree with ya, this is a devestating huricane. I don't think that Texas will get whiped off the map though. I mean - they got Chuck Norris. Also the fact that it is an absolutley huge state that has very esculated areas.![]()
I am glad that most towns have actually reached 100% evacuation. Cheers! It seems a little bit of light came out of Katrina; Imagine if Katrina never happened. Think the evacuations would be as succesful now?
It's expected to either be a tropical depression or a CAT1 by the time it gets this north, but it'll still be the worst rain/winds I've ever experienced. The power might go out, and there will be broken tree limbs/windows, but other than that I'll be fine.
Weather is a funny thing. A little change in path and we're now at scattered showers, 30% chance.
Pray for Flying Mullet and Phil, as they're both in the Houston area and I've not heard of their plans yet.

Texas has been spared a direct hit from the cat 3 hurricane.

This storm's effect on the oil industry is already being felt. My school just got cancelled for next Monday and Tuesday as a result of diesel shortage. They won't have any fuel for the busses, apparently. I'm really beginning to worry about gas panics now.
I dunno I'm brit I don't look at frigging maps of the US XD.
