Well, good old Sonny (the governor of our fine state, Georgia) went on tv at 4pm today (Friday) to say he was cancelling school on Monday and Tuesday to save on diesel fuel. If there wasn't going to be a gas rush before, there certainly will be now. Trying to save fuel is good, but I'm not sure if cancelling all school for two days is wise. We'll see, I guess.

I'm writing this from my uncle's at the moment and just arrived here last night (left houston at 5:00 wednesday) Traffic is absolutely brutal. I think Katrina is partially to blame for this, everyone's scared less of hurricanes now and so we have 1,500,000+ people trying to evacuate. We drove for 28 hours straight in what normally takes no more than an hour and a half to get here. Looks like its going to be all for nothing too as houston looks to be spared with only tropical storm level winds.

I also find more hispanic girls named Rita than black girls. This has nothing to do with race. They just draw names out of a hat.

Hurricane Rita is currently on the verge to make landfall as a Category 3 hurricane. So I say to you dummies that thought it would be a strong Category 4/5 hurricane that I told you so. :P

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

It is worth mentioning, though, that while in the Gulf of Mexico Rita was the third most intense storm ever on record.

Oh yeah I forgot It's pronounced (lid-e) (la-day) Get it right alright.
Rita is a Spanish name. Katrina is a Russian name. What your friend told you is a load of bull.

So sorry I worried I should known you would wave your all powerful hand. Despite the category of the storm, the brute size and lack of speed is still startling.

it's still capable of devastating a bigger area than an average hurricane.

Strange Hurricane Andrew was one of the most destructive natural disasters ever and my name is Andrew aswell.

Andrew whizzed through? I was there in Miami for a wedding and got stuck. I was about 10. That was one of the longest nights of my life. And I remember the weather guys saying even to this day that Andrew was a badass storm, b/c if you remember, he was HUGE and very tightly compacted.

Also, the names list is completly random. They alternate between male and female names and get them from every concieveable place.
