considering they took part in the yugo-slav war and the first iraq war that is not true. and they didn't lose ww1 either. and at least they were in the second world war from the beginning not sitting around doing hee haw all day. and now they're not out bombing iraqi civillians and making their entire armed forces into a bunch of war criminals by fighting an illegal war.

I don't think Isolation would be great, but I think working towards peace, with peace, would be a better solution. I do agree that we have to learn to exist with eachother, and in doing that our forien polocy is going to have to change. I can see where you are comming from though. well bipper since german tanks were building across the border and ready to invade and then did. france kinda had a right to be rather annoyed at the whole situation. because it was their business. like if mexico started marching across america.

and there is a difference in america fighting a war out of self interest and profit like iraq. and ending the attempted world take over and genocide over an entire race by a nutcase german.

good points, but should we save every country that gets invaided? no. We aided France for three reasons that I know: The American people wanted it, the French helped us in the past, and it very much was in our best intrests to interfere. I think the thrid reason was the greatest pull.

I do have many agreements with you on the war in Iraq. I think it was right to yank out saddam, but many other events that show alternative reasons do have me discouraged. We should never capitalize directly off a war. The mere fact of winning the war, and getting our war worthy point accross should be prize enough.
