good points, but should we save every country that gets invaided? no. We aided France for three reasons that I know: The American people wanted it, the French helped us in the past, and it very much was in our best intrests to interfere. I think the thrid reason was the greatest pull.

I do have many agreements with you on the war in Iraq. I think it was right to yank out saddam, but many other events that show alternative reasons do have me discouraged. We should never capitalize directly off a war. The mere fact of winning the war, and getting our war worthy point accross should be prize enough.
