well, Ive got a really good laptop, but its a laptop.
So......
I use a laptop for everything. I play Guild Wars and Counter Strike Source on it everyday.
My friend plays games on a laptop (newer than my PC) and they dont play as well, but are still good
Mr.is coming to get you!!!
Depends on the graphics adapter and RAM, mostly. I've got a Mobility Radeon 9700, so I can play a few newer games decently.
It depends on your CPU and graphic board and on the games you want to play, just like in a desktop. If it's a good laptop, everything will work all right. The only problems you might have are due to flat screen maybe not showing graphics as well as old-style laptop screens, but last generation flat screens are very good from what I've seen.
The screen could cause a few problems in fast paced games, like FPS and driving games. If you experience problems, try attaching a regular CRT monitor.
Laptops usually have good enough CPUs for new games, but not graphics cards. The amount of RAM is sometimes a bit low too, especially if you have a cheaper model.
I have a compaq with a 2.8 pentium 4, 128 mb Radean 9600 mobility, 1 gig of ram and a 40 gb hd. I have yet to have trouble with any gaem with the graphics all the way up.
Yeah, laptops can be great gaming machines, albeit more expensive ones. Pentium-M chips found in many laptops are some of the fastest and most efficient CPUs on the market. Throw in a good amount of RAM and a GeForce Go and you can play alongside some of the high-end desktop computers.
FFXI doesn't work on my laptop, for some reason i forgot. however, Star Craft [which my bro likes to play] seems to work. for FFXI, its passed all the "tests" but one. just one! i play it on bro's PC, but it's over three months already since i played so i might be back at square 1.

sorry for double posting, but I have a problem.
I got Deus Ex 2 for my laptop, it installs well, but when I start the game, the eidos and ion storm signs come up, but after that, when the game starts loading, about a cm in when loading, it just cuts off and sends me back to the desktop, I reistalled it, but it did nothing.
Help.....
Eidos doesn't have any "deus ex 2" listed.
