But that isn't what this is about. It's about bringing attention to an a injust and immoral war in an attempt to further diminish public support for it, and those waging it.

Fine, then the protesters need to stop bringing up Vietnam(and Israel, Kyoto, China, hurricanes, etc).

Again, this war began before the '04 election and was marketed before the midterm elections. In both elections, the far left got blown out.

Just because people didn't like John Kerry enough to vote for him means that the country as a whole approves of the war? Tenuous logic there.
