    Default Sigur Rós

I bought Takk... the other day after hearing very good things about it, and was impressed. While not as spectacular as I'd been led to believe, it was a good album with some beautiful moments. After listening to it three or four times through I'd definitely consider looking into some earlier albums, but I know very little about the band or their work. Any recommendations or advice for an uneducated Sigur Rós newbie would be very much appreciated.

Sometimes I wonder what my life would be like if I were as great as Paulo Wanchope.

They're pretty cool. Haven't heard Takk yet though. Still one of my favourite post-rock bands.

I really love Takk. It seems to be a littly more heavy than their last few albums, more rock-ish. Which is a nice change. Sćglópur has to be my favourite off the album, well at least at this moment.

And the video for Glósóli is amazing, but that's not surprising.

() is good, but I'd say Ágćtis Byrjun is their best. Have you heard Von?
I couldn't believe it was them. It's not very good, at least what I could
stand to listen to, which wasn't much.

Untitled 1 from () is amazing though, so incredibly sad. The beginning of it
at least, it's not as depressing when he starts singing though.

I remember years ago someone gave me a copy of Agaetis Byrnum to borrow and I thought it was decent. I didn't even know who it was. Then a couple years later I hear about this band Sigur Ros and hwo great they are and I'm like who are these guys and then I realize it was them and I was like oh. But they are decent enough.

    I like Sigur Rós.

And their new music video for Glósóli is beautiful. Really.

I saw them live last night. They were very good, but I couldn't bear to look at the lead singer because he kept grimacing as if something terrible were whispering painful things into his ears. Also, the band didn't say a word - not a hello, not a 'we're that band from somewhere cold', nary a word to be seen. It was strange.
