I usually post the lyrics to The Luckiest by Ben Folds because I've never heard love described in a way that I feel is really accurate. But just to mix it up I'll post some lyrics that are also good but more amusing:

I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you

I’ll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

    I’ll miss you
    I’ll kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

    I’ll need you
    I’ll feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you’ve had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

    "Bird Gehrl"

I am a bird girl now.
    I've got my heart
    here in my hands now.
    I've been searching
    for my wings some time;
    I'm gonna be born
    into soon the sky
    'cause I'm a bird girl,
and bird girls go to heaven.
    I'm a bird girl,
    and bird girls can fly.
    Bird girls can fly.

    "Dusted"

    Like a young unpedigreed stud
Evil wants me for his own little brothers
    Danger and death but courage
    Is my only boyfriend
    It's yours for the taking
But no one owes anyone else
    When the luck runs out
    I haven't left the room
I can not find my way
I've placed my trust in blues
    And lust and angel dust
    Everyday all that I confess
To you and all that I deny
    Written in your notebook
On a list of ways I've lied to you
    Open up my wounds
There's something I gotta tell you
    Now

This is by Inger Lorre. But I also feel like I want to post the lyrics to "Aching for you" by Kristing Hersch, and I can't find them. They're beautiful and heart moving >.<

    Edit: found'em. Enjoy.

    Aching for you

Chinese food and your sleeping back
    We're born-again losers
    It's funny
Honey, you know, this is not so bad
    Hanging around, wired for sound

It's funny and sad and it's true
    I'm aching, aching for you

We carry an island around on our backs
    We're born-again vagrants
    It's funny
And we ask for nothing whenever we land
Meanwhile, we got something, isn't that something ?

It's funny and sad and it's true
    I'm aching, aching for you

    Wailing in the garage
Breaking all the rulez and I don't need you
    You know you're truly bizarre
You're changing all the rules and I don't need you
    But I want you bad
    We're all I ever had

Love is a needle, goes all the way down
    I'm always surprised
    It's funny
So shoot me a roll of your best paradise
It's so pretty I just want to die

It's funny and sad and it's true
    I'm aching, aching for you

It's funny and sad and it's true
    I'm aching, aching for you

    "Strayz"

    The gifts I share
The love I kept inside for you
There's no one there but failed soldiers
    And dare we feel
We shared a light that won't go out
    But goes on
What's farther than the noonday sun?

    You know I'm true
    I wasn't born to follow
You are what you are to me

    I take things down
I play chess from both sides now
    There's no regrets
    Just junk sayings
What is the price if you won't play?

    You know I'm true
    I wasn't born to follow

    Sing for the Moment, Eminem

These ideas are nightmares for white parents, whose worst fear is a child with dyed hair and who likes earrings
Like whatever they say has no bearing, it's so scary in a house that allows no swearing
To see him walking around with his headphones blaring, alone in his own zone, cold and he don't care
He's a problem child, and what bothers him all comes out, when he talks about, his f--kin' dad walkin' out
Cuz he just hates him so bad that he blocks him out. If he ever saw him again he'd probably knock him out
His thoughts are wacked, he's mad so he's talkin' back, talkin' black, brainwashed from rock and rap
He sags his pants, do-rags and a stocking cap, his step-father hit him, so he socked him back
And broke his nose, his house is a broken home. There's no control, he just let's his emotions go...

Chorus: C'mon! Sing with me (Sing!)
Sing for the year (Sing It)
    Sing for the laughter
    sing for the tear (C'mon!)
    Sing it with me
    Just for today
    Maybe tomorrow
The good Lord will take you away...

Entertainment is changin', intertwinin' with gangstas, in the land of the killers, a sinner's mind is a sanctum
Unholy, only have one homie, only this gun, lonely cuz don't anyone know me
Yet everybody just feels like they can relate, I guess words are a mothaf--ka, they can be great
Or they can degrate, or even worse, they can teach hate
It's like these kids hang on every single statement we make!
Lke they worship us, plus all the stores ship us platinum
Now how the f--k did this metamorphosis happen?
From standin' on corners and porches just rappin', to havin' a fortune, no more kissin' ass
But then these critics crucify you, journalists try to burn you, fans turn on you, attorneys all want a turn at you
To get they hands on every dime you have, they want you to lose your mind every time you mad
So they can try to make you out to look like a loose cannon
Any dispute, won't hesitate to produce handguns
That's why these prosecutors wanna convict me, strictly just to get me offa these streets quickly
But all they kids be listenin' to me religiously, so I'm signin' CDs while police fingerprint me
They're for the judge's daughter but his grudge is against me. If I'm such a f--kin' menace, this s--t doesn't make sense B
It's all political, if my music is literal, and I'm a criminal how the F--K can I raise a little girl?
I couldn't. I wouldn't be fit to. You're full of s--t too, Guerrera; that was a fist that hit you!

    Chorus

They say music can alter moods and talk to you, well can it load a gun up for you, and cock it too?
Well if it can, then the next time you assault a dude, just tell the judge it was my fault and I'll get sued
See what these kids do is hear about us totin' pistols and they want to get one cuz they think the s--t's cool
Not knowin' we really just protectin' ourselves, we entertainers, of course the s--t's affectin' our sales, you ignoramus
But music is reflection of self, we just explain it, and then we get our checks in the mail. It's f--ked up ain't it?
How we can come from practically nothing to being able to have any f--kin' thing that we wanted
That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing except for a dream, and a f--kin' rap magazine
Who post pin-up pictures on they walls all day long, idolize they favorite rappers and know all they songs
Or for anyone who's ever been through s--t in their lives, till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die
Till they throw on a rap record and they sit and they vibe. We're nothin' to you but we're the f--kin' s--t in they eyes
That's why we seize the moment try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it, cuz we consider these minutes golden
And maybe they'll admit it when we're gone. Just let our spirits live on, through our lyrics that you hear in our songs and we can...

    Chorus x2

I went out the door this morning
Walked along the concrete cracked and aged by elements that don't discriminate and don't give warning
    And I walked alone

I went up to 16th St and looked into the windows of a restaurant
The guy standing next to me said it looked pretty good so I proceeded to give him a bunch of reasons
Why I didn't think the place could make it and he said, I think too much
    And I said, I know

I know my world is better than it seems and I try to be content with everything
But even knowing doesn't stop your heart from feeling
    That's why I'm going where I'm going

Going down, going down, down to Josie's house and that's where I'll play
Going down, going down, down to Josie's house and that's where I'll stay

I decided I'd be happier if only I could feel the cool, wet grass beneath my feet
I had tried it while I thought of all the words to make this song complete

I went up to John St Park and there I met an old lady feeding ducks
The back of her hand had been bleeding and she didn't even know it
She told me I'd be more handsome if I smiled
So we talked about the weather, she told me about her family and
She said I should meet her granddaughter, and I smiled

The smell of people in the street
I tasted life and life was sweet
The sound of colors in the air Of breathing mist and choral fare
Arriving anywhere in time, the feet are beating out a rhyme
I turned my body toward the south, I'm going down to Josie's house

    AFI - This Time Imperfect

I cannot leave here, I cannot stay,
    Forever haunted, more than afraid.
Asphyxiate on words I would say,
I'm drawn to a blackened sky as I turn blue.

There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

I cannot stay here, I cannot leave,
Just like all I loved, I make believe.
    Imagine heart, I disappear, seems,
No one will appear, here and make me real.

There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

I'd tell you how it haunts me,
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams.)
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams.)
You don't care that it haunts me.

    Oh,
There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

Just how much this, hurts me.

    Just how much you...

    Purity, by New Model Army:

The rains move in eastwards, in waves of succession
Drawing lines of grey across the sky
With history just as close as a hand on the shoulder
In hunger and impatience we cry
The battle against corruption rages in each corner
There must be something better, something pure
And the call it is answered from the caves to the cities
Come the dealers of Salvation on Earth
We've seen the restless children at the head of the columns
Come to purify the future with the arrogance of youth
Nothing is as cruel as the righteousness of innocents
With automatic weapons and a gospel of the truth

    Chorus:
Revolution for ever, succession of the seasons
Within the blood of Nature, all raised to rot and die
    This purity is a lie

Now immaculate conception in sterilised laboratories
    How the vanity goes on
Or in the message of the preacher with his morals and obsessions
The wars that we wage upon ourselves
Purity is a virtue, purity is an angel
Purity is for madmen to make fools of us all
So forgive yourself my friend, all this will soon be over
What happened here tonight is nothing at all

    Chorus:
    Revolution for ever . . .

I will always see Brendan at that broken down piano
His fingers thick and red, shaking on the keys
Battered by the years of alcohol and working
Still playing with the faith that never leaves
So sit us down, buy us a drink, tell us a good story
Sing us a song we know to be true
I don't give a damn that I never will be worthy
Fear is the only enemy that I still know

A bit miserable, I know, just live with it.

"I don't want to grow up"

When I'm lyin' in my bed at night
    I don't wanna grow up
Nothing ever seems to turn out right
    I don't wanna grow up
How do you move in a world of fog that's
    always changing things
Makes wish that I could be a dog
When I see the price that you pay
    I don't wanna grow up
I don't ever want to be that way
    I don't wanna grow up
Seems that folks turn into things
    that they never want
The only thing to live for is today...
I'm gonna put a hole in my T.V. set
    I don't wanna grow up
    Open up the medicine chest
    I don't wanna grow up
I don't wanna have to shout it out
I don't want my hair to fall out
I don't wanna be filled with doubt
I don't wanna be a good boy scout
I don't wanna have to learn to count
I don't wanna have the biggest amount
    I don't wanna grow up
Well when I see my parents fight
    I don't wanna grow up
They all go out and drinkin all night
    I don't wanna grow up
I'd rather stay here in my room
Nothin' out there but sad and gloom
I don't wanna live in a big old tomb on grand street
When I see the 5 oclock news
    I don't wanna grow up
Comb their hair and shine their shoes
    I don't wanna grow up
Stay around in my old hometown
I don't wanna put no money down
I don't wanna get a big old loan
Work them fingers to the bone
    I don't wanna float on a broom
Fall in love, get married then boom
How the hell did it get here so soon
    I don't wanna grow up

Most definitely one of the few most emotional songs of Metallica.
And even though Nothing Else Matters is nowadays such a cliché, I still loved it when they played it live. It's amazing how James' voice isn't much of a beautiful singing voice, but the rasp in it somehow gives the edge and the emotion to these songs. :)

    Fevered lovers and austere thinkers
Love equally, in their ripe season
Cats powerful and gentle, pride of the house
Like them they feel the cold, like them are sedentary
