Bahamut's History:
The story of Bahamut comes from Moslem Traditions and surprisingly has nothing to do with a Dragon. The story of Bahamut is as follows:

"A monstrous fish that is afloat in a fathomless sea. A giant Bull, Kujuta, rides upon it’s back and upon the bull is a Ruby Mountain. On top of the Ruby mountain is an Angel, over which lay the 6 hells, then the earth and then the 7 heavens, at the very top."
It is said that the Bahamut was so large and immense that Human Eyes could not bear to look upon it. Some say the name Bahamut led to the name Behemoth."

In Final Fantasy
Bahamut is a Non-Elemental dragon. Depicted as The King of Dragons.

See the water splash that's bahamut's trail; such power !! (that's why he's called The King of Dragons.)

But anywho, you got some nice pictures there of the fabled King of Dragons, I'm really digging that FFVIII one. Also the whole passage one the history is pretty neat too. I had known he was a giant fish swimming in chaos in some story, but I've never actually read the reference to him. Much greatness indeed. *nods*
