    RPG dryspell!

I cant seem to find a modern rpg that i like, tha last one i played that i truly enjoyed was shadow hearts II, when it first came out!! It would take to long to tell you all the games ive played and hated since then. so what i'm getting at is give me some modern rpgs that rock!

I'm going to guess he means current console generation RPG's. The only one I can think of to recommend is Tales of Symphonia for the GC. It was a lot of fun.

I recommend Star Ocean: Till The End of Time, Radiata Stories, or Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana.

Err... Oblivion is coming? Although, I admit that isn't to everyone's tastes.

Try Shining Force Neo. Heard it was good

    Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
    Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

Suikoden III was pretty good. IV was alright, but the sailing wrecked it.

Dungeon Siege? Guild Wars? And let's not forget Oblivion. Mmm, Oblivion.
There is no signature here. Move along.

Yes SH2 is godly, I'd try to go with Xenosaga maybe, but at the moment I hugely prefer PS1 games.

Thanks Jess1 for the awesome sig!!!

RPGs are becoming expensive to make because they just have to have all this voice acting and all this action and stuff that sucks budgets away real fast. That is why we have not seen as many this generation as we have in the past.

I fear more RPGs in the future may go the way of .hack and Xeno where they do multiple parts so that way they can eventually turn a profit if it isn't super sucessful.

Seriously though, you might want to try out Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne or Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga.
