I feel like 1999 was yesterday, and it's amazing for me how fresh the memories are and how fast time has gone by.

In 1999 I learned how to do a double twist cradle dismount. That's pretty obscure, right?
In any case, 1999 and 8th grade in general was one of the happiest years of my life. There are a lot of nights when I'm feeling especially nostalgic that I wish I could go back to that time when I was so blissfully happy.
That whole decade was wierd.
I was in the fifth grade in '99. Actually, late '99 is when I came up with the name Zell 007, and I may have started development on my first website in the same year.
I remember the millenium well, because we had a big party where my friends and I all played Super Smash Brothers on the N64. We unplugged it when the countdown started because we were afraid it might blow up :P
That year, along with 2000, 2001, and 2002 absolutely sucked, because I was in Middle School those years, and Middle School was easily the worst times of my life. 1999 was probably the worst of all.
EDIT: Wait, the first half of 1999 I was in my last year of elementary school. That half wasn't so bad, but the second half was pretty bad.
Same here. >.<Originally Posted by Miriel

but everyone loved 1999 because of the major millenium hype, not every year you can say you saw a millenium, unless of course you can live for about three thousand years at a time
99? Hmmmm.....I don't remember anything important about that year. It therefore must've sucked then.
I dont remember![]()
I was 11 and I was the talk of the town.
Now I'm 17 and I'm the talk of the town.
My friend took a piss into the new year. That's about it.
Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky me again! I hardly knew I should use me feet again!
What do you have to say for yourself?
At the time, it wasn't that bad. But knowing now what one of my friends back then would do in later years makes me cringe. Just knowing I consorted with them makes me feel absolutely used.
