You sure as hell better. You guys complain enough about me screwing it up, now its your turn to remember to do it all.

If nobody else posts by this time tomorrow I'll start the tiebreakers.

Oh yes, I am now opening many Square-Enix world lots for purchase. Write a DETAILED description of the area you want to take, and I will allow you to purchase the battlefield for 10,000 gil (small battlefield) or 20,000 gil (large battlefield). Also, I'm allowing all bettors to get one small lot for free, if they so desire. The battlefields will be randomly selected via die roll or series of die rolls, depending on the number of areas available, and whenever the battlefield is used, the owner gets 1,000 gold for the tournament "renting" the space (as well as money for repairs, but that is just assumed).

Any area that appears in any Square-Enix game (Midgar, Corneria, Aquaria,Tantangel, etc. etc.) may be used, and be sure to specify the part of that area you are making.

    Remember though. DETAILED.

And would we be PM'ing you this DETAILED description, or posting it here?
Boy am I an unfunny ass.

Eh, I don't care. One or the other, both, it's up to you. Since most of these locations are so large, you are mainly picking a specific part of that area.

A small battlefield is about the size of the length of Sister Ray, the massive gun in Junon Harbor, whereas a large battlefield is about the size of a town.

So would this work as a battlefield description (it's what I want):

The Plains in Time Compression (the small circular part at the end of the FMV, I'm not sure if Time Compression is allowed but I think it would be cool).

    Description:
A circular desert/plains like arena. The area constantly shifts, changing dimensionally, somewhat to fit the people's minds. As the existence of the area is based around sorcery magic is very powerful here, however the changing dimensions of the place can easily cause massive backfires. If concentration breaks you can easily end up disappearing which is one of the main dangers here, another is falling off the edge (who knows what will happen) To go along with FFVIII though this sounds corny people with strong relationships and caring can fight better here as they have something to hold on to.

    Pros for fighters:
    Magic is powerful

    Cons for fighters:
    Magic can backfire
    Edge is dangerous
    Extra concentration needed

    Arena:
    Small
    Dangerous edge
    Always slightly shifting

Hope this is OK, I have a description, and then just the important stuff. I also hope you'll allow a time compression area to be allowed.

Thanks Jess1 for the awesome sig!!!

The deadline is still Thursday, unless there's a substantial amount of time where people don't vote.

And the taking bets was to the writers, not to the general betting public.

    Battlefield

    Name:
    Viper's Aerie

    Game:
    Illusion of Gaia (SNES)

    Location:
    The Sky Garden

    Description:
Suspended high above the Nazca Ruins, this portion of the Sky Garden was once the home of Viper, the giant eagle god. Since his defeat, it was briefly used as a tourist attraction, but the god, though not there, still made sure he was remembered. The long, narrow platform is subject to intense winds, and the direction they are blowing is constantly changing. Fighters must be constantly on thier guard, as a sudden gust may send them hurtling thousands of feet, or at least as far as the referees allow. Large, heavy fighters are at an advantage on this battlefield, as the winds will have a harder time affecting them. However, small and light fighters can easily get tossed about by thermals and sudden drafts if they are careless, and so must remain focused. Magic users may also encounter trouble, as the wind, due to it's divine nature, can affect spells as well, sending them flying in the opposite direction. A skilled and calculating magician, however, may be able to read the wind patterns and use them to his or her advantage. Finally, archers and rangers have a equally tough time here, the winds blowing thier missiles about.

    Good for:
    Heavy warriors
    Focused warriors.

    Bad for:
    Magic users,
    Lightweight warriors,
    Bow users.
Boy am I an unfunny ass.

That sounds cool. I'll add one in too.

    Battlefield

    Name:
    God's Private Studio

    Game:
Trials of the Demon Tower (GB)

    Location:
    Paradise

    Description:
The Studio is not a particularly large area, and seems a bit lonely. It is suspended high above the surface of the Earth. It is a flat, grassy plain with a few rivers and streams running through it and down into the nothingness below. From this Studio, it is rumored that God himself peers down to the World below and monitors the progress of the brave warriors climbing his obstacle course. There is not much to pass the time in the Studio, so God often sits at the lone table and plays solitaire with himself when not watching his game.

    Stage Specifics:
Mostly flat, with a few trees to hide opponents, and rivers to bog progress. Falling off the edge means instant death. At the very center of the map is a health restorative altar that God uses for perpetual vitality. Because one can restore themselves completely by simply touching the orb at the altar, it is a key position to hold during the fight. One must decide the best way to keep their opponent away from the orb, whether that be by hoarding it, hiding it, or even destroying it after use. Whoever controls the orb controls the map.

    Good for:
    Tactic-oriented Fighters
    Subtle and Sneaky Fighters
All-out Fighters (if in possession of restorative orb)

    Bad for:
    Action-oriented Fighters
    Slow Fighters
    Impatient Fighters

To hell with Battletoads and Double Dragon.
    THIS is the ultimate team.
