help with ff6 in ff anthology

i cant beat vargas..for some reason im finding it to difficult to inpout sabins blitz commands.
does any one know when exactly should i input them?or how fast?
i keep trying to inout the commands as fast as i can but to no avail.
please help.

Select Blitz
Press <--, [/!], <---, O

Dont press anything else, once you select Blitz! Input the codes immediatly. You have to go fairly fast, but not extremely so.

A lot of people have this problem the first time around. Here is a detailed explanation:

• Move your cursor to the Blitz command
• Press O, the cursor will move to Sabin, as if you are selecting yourself
• On the d-pad, press left, right, left
• Press O to confirm your input.

Let me know if you still can't get it.

You can input them as fast or as slow as you want, you just have to make sure that you key in the sequence correctly. To do Pummel, select Sabin's Blitz command in battle, then press "Left" "Right" "Left" on the control pad (the directions, not the shoulder buttons) and then confirm it with your confirm button ("X" or whatever). If you do it right he'll do a Pummel, if not it'll say something like "Incorrect Blitz Command at the top of the screen.

Oh, and if you're still having trouble Asakura, check to see if you've changed your button config. If you've set something else as the confirm button, you'll need to use it instead of O.
