If him breaking the rules was hugely entertaining to just about everyone then I'd consider totally pointless and a little stupid banning him.
Someone who completely ignores dozens of warnings - no matter how entertaining the result - can't be tolerated. It wasn't as if he did one or two things, other people laughed, and he was banned for it. From what I've heard, he was warned constantly, and consistently decided to ignore staff. He fully deserved the result.

The "will of the majority" here do not set the rules. Cid does, and by his authority, so do Staff.
