If you record with the piano lid open, you'll get a louder sound.

[edit-- very nice dynamics and little improv touches ^_^ I could definitely hear the bass drop out of to zanarkand, gave it a strange uppanoctave feel. I didn't realize that one song was from ff8, but it's one I like really well ^_^

Also, when recording, you can start over at measures, and then crop out the stuff with an audio editing program Makes for a lot cleaner music]
