I ain't laughing in the least. I think its funny how so many people, who obviously know so little about a religion, or the new testement, get such a joy out of bashing it. This joke makes me wonder of you had even read the OT and the NT while applying even an once of thought :rolleyes2
Revelations was writend by John, while he was on his exile on the island of Patmos. The Revelation 1:1 makes it clear that God had sent an angel to his servent John. The whole thing is really not as rediculous as some people make it sound. Actually, it is quite relivent to modern life. Of course, talking to God has been brought up across time. Seeing how, as faith suggests it, GOD is the highest power = it is only obvious that those who wanted people to belive they had ultimate power, would say they have God on thier side. This is dubbed as using God's name in vain.revelations derived from the writer's visions (some way of justifying the story if it hasn't occured yet).
If you look at the state of the (possible) decline(?) of our world, you may see some good points made in revelations. These points may seem obvious to us now, but to an aged man exiled on an island, these concepts were prolly not somthing that he thought much aboutm nor could really contemplate. It has a lot to do with the easy fact that when you see somthing happen, the cause could make sence to you; To forcast a cause and effect is a lot more difficult.
