I don't agree with that. People indulge their desires all the time, but most can control it. If you deprive yourself, that can increase wanting something.I believe that whatever you spend more time wanting, you'll just want more. So if you spend time indulging in a desire, it doesn't go away, it gets bigger. If you like to go shopping, then you'll want to spend more of your free time shopping and buying. You won't reach a point at which you'll say "I've had enough sex", or "I have enough junk". You feed a desire, it grows.
