It's flawed, for all the same reasons that its opposite, Christianity, is.
It is flawed, I agree. No man is an island, and people depend on other people, whether you like it or not. No man can live in complete, independent solitude without bouncing off the walls eventually.

    Gar. You people depress me.

Satanism ranks just about as high as all the other religion(ish?)s. Not very high. I prefer to decide my own beliefs, rather than someone else telling me them.

Satanism should not be taken seriously by anyone....
Yeah, well that goes for most religions.
I believe that whatever you spend more time wanting, you'll just want more. So if you spend time indulging in a desire, it doesn't go away, it gets bigger. If you like to go shopping, then you'll want to spend more of your free time shopping and buying. You won't reach a point at which you'll say "I've had enough sex", or "I have enough junk". You feed a desire, it grows.
I don't agree with that. People indulge their desires all the time, but most can control it. If you deprive yourself, that can increase wanting something.

Satan is my lord and master. He gets a lot of bad press but he's just misunderstood. A bit like Cory Feldmann.

He introduced me to women, sex, drugs and alcohol. This God you speak of sounds dull.
    Can I quote that?
    Satan will rise again!!!
    When did he fall?

Well, yeah, you can control it to a degree, but the more you feed a desire, be it money, sex, or power, you'll develop a taste for it. You'll begin to savor the idea of more of it. You'll spend more and more time trying to get it. You'll give up on friendships for work, or stab a good friend in the back for more power.

It's part of why people who win the lottery end up in trouble (not all of them, but a good number). They can have anything they want. If they want a car, they go buy one. Bigger house, go get one. So they indulge every desire they have, or that their kids have. And it will never be enough. Plus they'll spend so much extra time worrying about keeping it.

I don't think that means that we should throw out all desire and become passionless. If you're talking about over-indulgence, then, sure, we should be careful of that. If I am willing to do almost anything for a friend and destroy my whole life in order to help my friend, then of course, that's bad. That doesn't mean that I should have no friends, however.

That's why I really dislike the principles of Buddhism. I don't think suffering derives from desire - directly. I think desire is a healthy aspect of life, and one that an individual should indulge in rationally. The goal in life should not be the non-life, I think.

Exactly. Life is ment to be lived. That doesn't mean go overboard. Frankly, I find that overindulging in something kills the pleasure.

satanism, practiced as a lifestyle instead of a religion, is essentially just Objectivist philosphy with the mask of a religion. Take Objectivist philosophy "the world would be a better place and individuals would be infinitely more happy if they served their own interests first, instead of putting the will and good of the majority above your own" and add a few rituals and the general overtone of a religion, and it spits out satanism. frankly, i don't see the point in it. If you follow the principles anyway, you don't need the dark religious feel to it, unless you're just the type of person that likes having everyone go "OMG. thats the satanist... stay away."

Satan WORSHIP is an entirely different story. pointless, barbaric, retarded in the most extreme sense of the word. OMG. let's acknowledge that there is a prince of evil and a wholesome god, but lets worship this diety over here thats decietful, evil, and known by the NAME "prince of lies" and expect everything to be okay when he beats god and takes over the world. SURELY a guy like that would be loyal to his subjects and servants, once he is made the most powerful being in existance.

Seriously, how freaking dumb do you have to be.

That's what I said and was shot down for it.

Actually, there are a few "differences of opinion" between the two, and clearly "Satanism" doesn't go nearly in-depth as an actual philosophical ideal, but yeah, Satanism is essentially Objectivism blends with mysticism and pissed-off little kids.
