it's about fault lines and stuff, massive earthquakes would cause a movement of some places.

India was once an island but a mass seismic activity as geologists say caused it to collide into Asia.

It could happen to the san andreas area, somewhere will float off like Calafornia.

This Earthquake is terrible and aftershocks could cause more chaos, more and more countires are giving aid tille evntually it's sorted.

Why weren't they this fast for Katrina? is it because 3/4 of the US army and British army are close by?

I've heard the theories on a Yellowstone eruption, but I think they are as likely as us getting into another ice age, ala The Day After Tomorrow.

They found the body of my sister's classmate yesterday. He was in that apartment building that collapsed in islamabd.

They were slight tremors coming from the coastline here (karachi) last night. But fortunately nothing devastating.

Every uni and college over here are sending teams to dig and help, especially the med students. It's so awful to think that so many people need help and there are people who want to help but roads are blocked coz of the mudslides. Places like Manshera can be only be reached by helicopters.

Also, to my understanding, we are reacting slow as ever to this disaster.

On a side note, I can't wait to see some conspiracy theorist start touting and say that Bush/Blair made an earth shaking machine. (as they would prolly call it)

2 natural disasters in a 2 week(?) span. We've got our own problems

Very sorry about the death of your sister's friend.
Hopefully aftershocks will start to diminish... there was a significant one in Pakistan just today. The last thing the area needs is more destruction... though one advantage of delivering aid by air is the ability to overcome impassable or flooded terrain.

Oh really? I was pretty sure that's what he meant, but I was just giving him the benifit of the doubt since...well...I won't say. That's still wishing death upon people. Last time I checked someone banned someone from this forum for doing such.

The earthquake is terrible as are all big disasters of this sort, but it's something I'm not trying to think about too much because the double standards and hypocrasies of people are depressing enough for me.
    I like Kung-Fu.
