It should work. I guess the open tag "<" is throwing off the emoticon. Perhaps changing [img]http://home.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/heart.gif[/img] to would fix the problem.

Proto is right, the < symbol is breaking it, since it's autoconverted to html now since the upgrade
