I was speaking specifically of the fact that she is a noble, of the Beoulve family, where they probably did not see warrior as a fit occupation for the daughters.
Balmafula is described by her help window as a reborn witch who wields the mighty power of darkness. If you were to look at her skills, though, she would have none. Arc Witch has no command set and no abilities designated to it.Originally Posted by greymon138

when did they say Delita cut out Balmafula tounge?
also i dont think Delita meant he used teta as a shield or that she even shielded him from the blast. i thin after the blast he was wounded but instead of just dying he decided to avenge her death. her death gave him the will to live and to do whatever it takes to be great.

Its what he did when she couldn't attack him because she loved him. You'll notice in the final scene, she doesn't say anything, unlike Olan, who had a lot of dialog. Its not stated in the American version, but I think it is in the Japanese. Its not the only thing that wasn't in the American version, though the only other thing I can think of is Rafa's rape.Originally Posted by Lynx
Wait... on my first play through(before I read up on the game) I was aware of that, and I did play the american version(being american it makes sense). Or do you meant thier was an actual scene depicting it? That I don't recall, but I do know that it happened... guess I better go hunting and see if I can come up with some quotes.Originally Posted by TurkSlayer
In the American version, they don't ever actually say it, they just give hints. In the Japanese version, they actually say she was raped.Originally Posted by ShunNakamura
There's a scene where Rafa is complaining about being taken advantage of by their adoptive father and Malak silences her before she can finish.
Like I said, it was only hinted. She says "You know what he did to me!", then Malak slaps her. Their adoptive father (I always forget his name) also talks about it when she tries to strike him but can't. It was something like: "You can't do it, can you? Its because you remember what it felt like..." Malak hears this and saves his sister.Originally Posted by BG-57
It was implied. I don't think it was ever stated in either version of the game, but Balmafula never talks after she confronts Delita and he rushes at her. All she can do is scream.Originally Posted by Lynx

I wonder what happens if you phonex down Teta when you battle Algus.........
Please be patient and people will eventually answer your questions.![]()
Anytime you try to throw a consumable item like Pheonix Down, a gauge tells you the percentage chance that it'll work. I've tried with Teta and the chance of it working is 0%. In other words, even if it lands square on her, she's incapable of being revived.
It wouldn't bother me so much except the stars over her head are something you see over fallen guest characters and they can usually be revived.
If she was not listed as Guest and knocked out with those stars over her, she would have had to be an obstacle and that probably wouldn't work as well while you're fighting — her being a Guest makes the player question whether or not she's still alive and gives the development team a way to keep her from being just a random tile that you cannot step on.Originally Posted by BG-57

I always assumed they gave her the stars so she wouldn't turn into a life crystal. Her lifeless body is needed in the next scene, so the guest stars prevent her from vanishing.
I know it's a no-win situation, but it still irks me they way they handled it. If there's no hope of reviving her, they should just remove the stars. I wasted a lot of time and trouble getting onto that bridge.![]()
