In the renaissance era that's how people really draw/paint...that painting was made by Da' Vinci I'm quite sure its worth something...

Art's in the eye of the beholder some people likes it some people dont...thats just my opinion...
also in their time people dont appreciate art...I mean they dont even know what art is...until some collectors/nobles realized that art has something that you cant explain then people started to accept art (some of them says that..."that painting is so beautiful" but the truth is that they really dont understand the very essence of it, they just say that because its worth a fortune...) and today paintings like that are really $$$ hehehe

To tell you the truth until today I still dont understand art I just get an inspiration when I draw one but still I feel that there is something missing in all of my works but WHAT IS IT? a painter once told me that art needs "life", it has to be life-like...but how can I do that?

    they remind me of crows

and i think edea is an italian or latin name and da Vinci was...or maybe they thought she'd look great with half a crows head on her

Speaking of connections, Terra in FFVI wore a "slave crown" which robbed her of her conscious. Edea's hat-thing can be thought of as a nastalgic take on Terra's experince. They are similar, they have the gift of magic, and are being controlled for other's gain. It's common for Square to have themes (like orphans in III & VIII, or interrupted by fireworks in VII & VIII, the list goes on and on). In any case, it suits Edea well to wear it.

i'm still convinced that ff3 and ff8 are connected because Square meant to make them connected.

    Thank you Hysterian!

I don't see how that sketch is connected to Edea at all.
