If by "the world" you mean the planet, then no. It's not trying to "kill everyone"...it's just reacting to it's new conditions that we've caused.
If however you mean humanity, yeah...I think we're going to all kill each other eventually.

Nope... I don't feel that the world tried to kill anyone. The earthquakes and tsunamis would have happened where and when they did, no matter what. If humans happen to be in the way.... quite frankly, we have only ourselves to blame.
As for the hurricanes: yeah, our fault for ****ing with the system. But it wasn't either of thier faults, either. Katrina devestated New Orleans because human being were idiotic enough to cut down the swamp/forests that would have weakened the storm and sucked up most of the rain before it hit the city. Not only that, but THEY BUILT THE CITY IN A BOWL THAT WAS LOWER THAN THE OCEAN AROUND IT!!!!
In other words- not the planet. Just our own stupid, short-sighted, suicidally ill-advised actions. That and a news media that likes to blow every little thing out of proportions. There've been worse years for disaster on this rock of ours, in recorded history. They just didn't make international news every time they happened.
Besides, if the planet actually WANTED us destroyed, do you honestly believe we'd be able to save ourselves?
Yeah, the revelations are begininng if anyone is religous around here. With the new bird flu, the crazyness of AIDS, the natural disastures, people are blaming each other, hating everyone, discrimation, pollution, and other stuffs. But you know.....Aeris will save us soon. :P
