Because Edge has the hots for Rydia. The game makes that pretty apparant. People like to draw pictures of pairings they like.
Because it is hinted in the game that Edward like Rydia like all those Tifa x Cloud pics...etc.
But whether they got together is a mystery pretty much like the example I pointed out.

Go on about what? That's the size of it. Some people think they'd be a good couple, others dont. Some people pair Rydia and Cain. Some people pair Cloud and Aerith, others Cloud and Tifa. It really shouldnt be that hard to understand.
It really isn't actually. Thing is Cloud has a reason to be paired p with Tifa and Aeris. He had mixed feelings for both. As for Kain and Rydia....Enlighten me. How do people get the idea of some yonugster who is mature with some guy with a huge spear...
It doesnt matter if he has mixed feelings for them both. What matters is that fans choose to pair them up. Fans pair up Tifa and Vincent. Fans pair up Tidus and Rikku. It's about personal choice, I dont know how you manage to let that fly over your head everytime. Fans want what fans want, and they draw fanart or write fanfiction to express that.
