AH thanks for clearing that up.

He's a nutcase and has starred in some pretty bad movies.

The Last Samurai was terrible.

Maxico brought up a point that I didn't hit upon. Ok.... we'll add "maker of truly god-awful films" to the list of crazy behaviors. Though, if you think of Mission Impossible & Co. as comedy, instead of action, they're actually pretty good.

When I watch his movies, I can generally sit through and enjoy them, so long as I completely block out the fact that the guy is completely, bat, loco, loony-as-smurf crazy.

He sued a gay porn star who claimed that Cruise had paid money for gay sex. Tom went bananas... (!) :chuckle:

I don't hate nor do I love his movies.

I love Tom Cruise and his movies. He's such a wonderful actor. ESPECIALLY in The Last Samurai. That has to be my favorite movie ever with him in it.

Oh daer god he better not ruin Death Race. I loved that movie.
Death Race 2000 of course. If you havent seen it, see it. Its about a race across the country with cars that look like they are from twisted metal, and you get points for hitting pedestrians. Its also got David Carridine in it, (Aka Bill from Kill Bill)

As for his acting, don't love it or hate it. Interview with the Vampire is by far my favourite movie with him in it. I think he's overrated though. As for what I think of him in general, he is definitely insane and within the past couple of years I've lost any bit of admiration I ever had for him.
