Ya if you need fame do the above quest. The NPC is the old man shepherd in Selbina, just max out your inventory on stacks of millicorn and just sit there trading. About 13 stacks or so should boot you from 1 to 4-5ish fame. 2-3 runs of that and you'll have hero level fame in Sandy, Bastok, and Jueno. Such a great quest ^^. Now if only Tenshodo was as easy.
