That list is lacking NINs "Closer." This makes me angry.

    Screw this list!

    Thank you.

Actually, I think this list is a good overview with many mixed genres. No bias here!

I don't care very much for music videos, but Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" video IS the greatest music video. He pretty much established the music video as a respectable artform and not a bunch of women showing their asses dancing to second-rate music.

You gotta love the dancing chickens, though.

And you may ask yourself, what's at number 13. And you may ask yourself, how great this band is. And you may find yourself, wondering "why did I post here?"

"Thrillier" is #16? "The Earth Song" by MJ, "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam and "Freak on a Leash" by KoRn are no where to be found?

This list fails. Hard. And I thought Sledgehammer was a terrible video...I don't even see how it'd make a list, much less be number one.

Black or White is on there, #52.

I haven't seen enough of the videos to judge, but the ones that I have seen on there are pretty good. I agree a lot of great ones are missing.

Because before that video, music videos were a camera recording an artist/band playing a song. Silly as the video is, it's still very artistic.

Ok, that's true...that doesn't change the fact that I hate it though.

Somewhat. There were some amazing music videos done long before Mtv, from the likes of The Beatles and the other great bands of the day that rarely included the band playing and were highly artistic.

As for the list, no one will ever agree with it completly, but save for the HST memorial issue, I ignore Rolling Stone on the whole. They are way too eager to praise everything that comes along in the interest of business.

chaos: LOL at Weird Al being on there. That man is a genius.

Rubedo: I'm happy about Nirvana being #2. I don't see Metallica on there, though.
