All the characters except Cloud and Tifa were cameos and the voice they wanted for RED XIII must of been someone very popular in Japan because in the credits, his voice come under Special appearance, this being him as the ulimate cameo in this movie as he only had one line through out the movie.

Red XIII is in the movie, without a doubt. I have seen it. I felt like there wasn't enough portrayal of him as well as some other characters, but when looking at the overall film, it succeeded in what it was meant to do.. entertain us and show us the characters that we so desperately wanted to see again. Focusing mainly on a strong central theme, Cloud's character, as well as Aries' spirit and soul existing peacefully, and Tifa as well. Especially Aries, I believe that really brought some closure for many fans. Unlike the FMV's of the original VII, the movie put voices with the beautiful characters! I loved it! When something as amazing as VII is created, the fanbase will always crave for more.
