    I think that Aeris completed Sephiroth's goal of harnessing the Spirit Energy of the planet, but did it while she was dead, being the last Ancient to be killed, and used it to save everyone! If you can't tell already, she's my favorite. Cloud and the others were just the distraction...

    didnt aeris cast holy or something before she died or even after she died and helped save the planet and the meteor fails she saves them all from being destroyed
