    What happened to this kind of music? It was pretty big in the 90s, but not anymore. Is it now just another word for "Dance" music?

    Dance and Techno are different.

    Dance has no Lyrics and is usually better than techno music.


    Techno is rapping to fast dance music.

    nono guys, scooter is dance, tiesto is trance, techno is the harder style. Dance is most of the mainstream.
    Stop making up things if you don't know the truth.
    And techno isn't dead at all if you know where to find it

    big mistake, Dance music and trance music don't have lyrics, Techno is faster dance music with lyrics.


    Tiesto IS techno, nice flash maxx XD.

    Dance and Trance music are generally slower than Techno music which generally have no lyrics. but they all fall into the genre of club music.

    Eh, there's quite a lot of lyrical trance....

    Anyways, I never saw "dance" and "techno" as two obviously distinguishable genres. I think music that reminds me of Madonna or Kylie Minogue would qualify as "dance," while electronic music focusing on fast beats and rhythms would be "techno" to me.

    Trance is long term music which goes from a soft beat to loud fast beat, generally no lyrics.

    To me the definition of "rapping" is fast singing that rhymes.


    Raves are parties not music if it was it'd be extremely violent and loud.
