Ninja are specialised Samurai. Just like some become Shinobi (spies), emissaries, swordsmen, spearmen, etc. Ninja are Samurai of the night, assassins.

Beep. Bigfatwrongness. Ninja came from seperate, hereditary clans, who had nothing to do with the samurai clans. In fact, they were very different- Samurai fought man to man, bellowing war cries, and fighting along a set of special, pre-defined rules- the Bushido. Ninjas, on the other hand, were devious, sneaky and dishonest, which of course they had to be. But, as this directly conflicted with the bushido, samurai looked down on ninja, and ninja were oftendepicted as villanous, untrusworthy, and even demonic.Originally Posted by War Angel

Therefore, Samurai =/= Ninja.

Samurai block attacks with their katana. Ninja's however have no defense and suck.
I generally prefer Samurai to Ninja, but Ninja are good too. I like the samurai sword style quite a bit.
However, the Ninja did develop Ninjutsu specifically to counter the samurai Aikido, a style used to turn the momentum against the attacker. Ninjutsu allowed them to turn the Aikido's throw into another attack. So technically the Ninja are bred to defeat Samurai, although in a straight blade-on-blade duel they really have no chance.

good the ninjas are the best for the dirt tricks and speed no mention the abilty two hands and the samurais are a little slows in your armors right??
