Let's not forget Sony owns a few movie studio's of their own (Sony Pictures, and I believe they recently bought MGM as well. There may be another on top of that but I'm not sure), and have an extensive library of films just waiting to be released on Blu-ray. If Sony wants to puch, between movies and games, they may be in the position to make Blu-ray succeed by themselves.
