Part of the reason she's cool is that she'd punk off your entire party at every turn for the first two disks, afterwards I found the sub-plot of her and steiner hooking up to be hilarious and very humorous. During the air battle with the dragons, one of the knights says something about her involvement with steiner and almost gets thrown out of the airship for his verbal slip. Comic relief plus badass mystique = a likeable character in my opinion.

beatrix is probably one of the best girls in the ff series. most of the girls are whiny, weak, and are just plain annoying. Beatrix is one of the few exceptions to this. Her moves rock and she isn't the whiny-extra baggage type.

Beatrix, while I had her, was pretty good... I didn't find much use in her spells and technially she is the only character whom has both potent strength and magic. But she is TOO powerful, she's just a temporary...
I thought she was a bitch at first, but then I got to like her when she was turning good
