So I was watching tv IN EUROPE just now and an add for Utada Hikaru came on with her new single out monday "you make me want to be a man". Wow Im really impressed that a japanese artist made it all the way over here. The song sounds great but is this a terrible translation or an intentionally weird sounding song?

I watch alot of tv. I've never seen an add for a japanese artists single played in the same manner of an eminem single, 50 cent single or a Sugababes single.

Yeah, she made an English album. She speaks near perfect English, she just makes ridiculously dirty lyrics. I love her english album though. Look out for Exodus 04, great song.

The Mad Capsule Markets and Electric Eel Shock both get airtime on Kerrang! and MTV2. At least they did last time I had sky.

Gosh you;d never have expected it from listening to tracks like Colours and Simple and Clean. If she releases an album over here I'll buy it as I havent known her to do bad stuff.

Aside from the weird title, the song is really nice and well sung. My favourites off her Exodus album in order:

Exodus '04 (BEAUTIFUL song)
You Make Me Want To Be A Man
Let Me Give You Me Love (Ditto, bad dirty lyrics, but catchy and very well sung)
Easy Breezy (Awful lyrics, but insanely catchy)
Kremlin Dusk: (So pretty, it's nice when she sings all fast at the end)
Wonder'bout (Very catchy)
Hotel Lobby: (Not so great, but the chorus is really really good)
