What exactly is the battle meter? I got it from Cid, and he told me to go to Tutorial if I wanted to learn more about it. Maybe I am just blind, but I couldn't find anything about it. Then later on at the prison, I won a card game and this guy said that I now had more detailed records. What did he add to the battle meter, and what is it in the first place? lol
i think if you go in the status part of the menu, it just gives you more general or specific information about things, and you can get a few upgrades. i know you can get one from (SPOILER)cc member Joker

Main Menu --> Tutorial --> Information --> Battle Meter.
This will give you details about the number of steps you've taken, battles fought, won and fled.
The first upgrade is available on floor 10 of the D-District Prison. You need to win a card game against the man in the room on the right-hand side. This lets you see how many enemies a certain character has killed and the number of times they've been KO'd.
The second upgrade is available from CC Joker in the B-Garden Training area. Beat him in a card game and he'll install a feature which shows you the number of enemies a GF has killed and the number of times they've been KO'd.
