When my friend and I used to play coop in Contra, we didn't even know this code, man. We played it like real men. Real, four and six year old men.
We never got past stage three, but the fact remains!
I had to use it.
There's a room in a dungeon in Boktai that gives you a Life Fruit if you use that code.

At least that's what I tell myself so I feel better about it.
I know that's usually the case. But c'mon, man. It's the Konami Code. You don't actually have to use it. You just have to memorize it because it's the right thing to do.
