Yeah that and that VII is the easiest of the 3D Final Fantasy games.

Hmm... I'm not sure I agree. What about FFX? If you level up enough you could kill just about anything in 1 hit. Even the final bosses!

EDIT: But how DID you do that, right before the Temple of Ancients, I have all my characters over Level 45, I have all the materias available to this point Mastered (with exception of Kjata), and I even have 2 Mastered HP PLUS's! And I still can't reach 9999 HP with more than 1 character!

That still required more work than leveling in FFVII did assuming you didn't use any of the sphere level tricks. Without spending a lot of time leveling characters, FFVII was definitely the easier game for me (not that FFX was tremendously difficult either).

EDIT: Though I still had more fun leveling up in FFVII than in FFX. I got bored after a while in FFX, and to tell you the truth I fell asleep a few times.

Use of HP Plus materia is the only way 9999 HP can be reached at level 49 in a normal game. Without use of HP Plus materia, only Barret can reach 9999 HP naturally, and he can only do this at level 99, under particularly rare circumstances.

Still... FFVIII beats them all. It's hard to even imagine an easier game than FFVIII. You don't even need to level up at all. You just need som good spells to junction and limmitbreaks to own everything you'll ever encounter trough the entire game.

I think the game developers were working on the idea that no one was going to be able to understand junctioning, so they made everything uber-easy to compensate.

Perhaps... i would love to get the Enemy-Away materia early in the game, for it seems the Boss fights just aren't so challenging as time passes on..

you must have had like 2 hhp plus mastered materia and no other materia equipped. with summon and magic (maybe the otheres too? i forget) you get less life the more you equip.

Its only easy if you understand the junction system. I didn't on my first playthrough, and I know people who didn't figure it out till their third or fourth.

Pft, mastering HP Plus materias take time, getting cards for refining and drawing magic in FF8 also takes time, maxing stats in FFX also takes time. Like in every RPG, amount of time spent is directly propotional to your level of pwn. Every RPG is easy if you invest enough time in it.
