The 'aeris' paragraph defintly contains J-E-N-O-V-A(sorry couldnt resist) and the entire paragraph there seems to also fit her. Nobuo Uematsu (music composer) is the last one, and he did compose the jenova music...so it look to be jenova, or related to.

At the moment all i can think of is lifestream even though i dont have an explanation for all the lines or the songs yet.

When Cloud fell in the lifestream he recovered the missing pieces of his memory

Renewing all that's past
During Advent Children, Rufus explains that the lifestream repeastes itself, renewing what has already happened

To save the world & fast
(what happens at teh end of the game)

Leaving death and life anew
Rufus also explains that the lifestream flows into the land of death and the land of the living

Ok, so far i have:
that the whole first letters of each line is a red herring,
that the bold / italicised letters are a red herring also (refering only to names of songs, as well as the composer)

what did I say before, each paragraph is in relation to each character it's told to be about but it's also about the answer itself. The words inside are in relation to the music composed in the game and also to the words being what they are in general.

they are not referring to the names of the songs only, they are in there as songs yes, but they are also in there as the actual items/things they refer to in it's name. So shinra is in relation to the theme song, and also the company themselves. Jenova is in relation to Jenova's battle theme and also Jenova herself, understand?

As I have said to Lost Number, concentrating on the song names atm would be very hard, as they are merely to tie it all together. You'd be best analysing each paragraph, coming to a conclusion of that paragraph then linking it to the next one, if it doesnt make sense then you've looked at it wrong.

Every Paragraph has a multiple meaning, relating to the character and the answer. You'd be best figuring out the whole riddle before attempting to link the songs and also trying to answer.

This riddle was made specifically so it couldn't easily be solved through random guessing. As there are multiple meanings to each bit, throwing those who don't look into it carefully off course.

after looking at it, it can bew viewed in a few ways. either the char is related in some way to the words in his/her stanza

Barret - flower (bold) : maybe the flower cloud can buy and giv to marlene
Cloud - fighting (italics) : he's the strongest fighter out of all the chars
Aeris - shinra (bold) : being captured probably, and her mothers connection with gast and hojo
Tifa - Who are you? (italics) : maybe tifa helping cloud out in the lifestream, or not really knowing the real cloud util latre in the game
red - jenova (bold) : this mite be incorrect, but was he, and all the clones in black capes with tatoos, inserted with jenova cells by hojo?
Cid - nobuo (italics) Umatsu (bold) : these guys worked on the music rite, and cids ultimate weapon is called venus gospel (gospel as in church songs)

or it cud be grouped into bolds and italics, tho i'm not sure how the chars ties in with this

the bold and italics mean the same thing, the fact that they are coordinated so that each paragraph is a different one is just to help with the eyes mainly. The words are related to the characters in some way, but you are best looking at the meaning of the paragraphs, then trying.

stanza 1: i think this is relating to the lifestream and people's (namely shinra) abuse of it. also barrets attempts to stop this abuse. i think the flower is supposed to represent the life from the lifestream

stanza 2: cloud losing himself in his head i think, and taking zack's "disguise" the paths being the paths in his memory, and he is renewing his own life by killing the wrong paths or memory's in his mind. i think the fighting could either be cloud battling with himself, or cloud being the best fighter

stanza 3: i actually think this is about sephiroth, and aeris' link is the fact that they're both ancients. i think shinra links in because they're looking for sephiroth, who aeris tried to stop herself

stanza 4: i think this is referring to the love triangle between cloud aeris and tifa, and tifa trying to get cloud to notice her while aeris makes her sacrifice. tifa has always been there for cloud. i think the "who are you?" is because even tifa doesn't know cloud until the lifestream incident

stanza 5: i think this is to do with red XII's relationship with bugenahgen. red always looks to him for answrs but can't go where he goes because he can fly. i think the keeping pace is more about bugenhagens knowldeg triumphing over red's.

stanza 6: i think this is referring to the highwind always helping the situation. theres safety inside (no battles i guess) and u can revive if ur weak or dead. and don't hesitate to use these facilities or u may wind up dead. cid links to highwind obviously, and i think the music directors link to venus gospel (cid's ultimate weapon).

the link i can think of is the lifestream. barret trying to save it, cloud finding himself in it, aeris using it (holy materia), tifa using it to get closer to cloud, bugenhgen tells u about it in the 1st place, and the highwind always helps u wen u get too close for comfort (first northern crater incident, final screenplay).

so my guess is that the answer is LIFESTREAM.

if i'm wrong can u please tell me if anything i have sed is rite or if i'm on the rite lines or if i'm even close! thnx in advance
