Wow this still isn't solved and i reread it and i still can't think of anything. It's starting to bother me now that i don't know the answer.

“The Tango Riddle”
Deserved for breathing life back in, (Shiva)
Stop a giant mastered from within. (Proud Clod)
Cause beginning of life to come to an end, (Ifrit)
Life’s story told in a place to mend. (Kalm)
Responding with dance is slightly strange, (Choco/Mog)
Do spaceship watchers ever change? (people in Rocket Town)
When father’s daughter takes the crown, (Leviathan)
Overlooking two of nine’s hometown. (Mt. Nibel)
Over an unwelcome touch a kind of storm, (Alexander)
Use surer feet or land deformed. (Ancient Forest)
From Alpha to Omega the elements combined,
With a sidewards glance should your path unwind.
Some research done and one more glance,
Just exactly who would love this chance?
Basically, it's become clear that you can't get straight to the final answer--there are a couple of steps inbetween. The first step was to figure out what each of the first ten lines referred to, which has been done.
The next step is to figure out what the last stanza is telling you to do. This is something that has to be done line by line.
The second line of the last stanza is meant to reveal the phrase "cloud sword". However, this was only supposed to happen as a result of solving the previous line, "From alpha to omega the elements combined". Without solving that line properly, you're left at a dead end.
As I meant to strongly imply with my recent post, the "elements" line relates to the summons referred to in the first 5 stanzas. And something to do with alphabetical order. And it relates to the elements of the summons, not the summons themselves.
All of this was said already, but with a lot of incorrect speculation inbetween. So, here's hoping that this little summary helps.
I, for one, would vote for PA simply spelling out what that line means, but he's got the prerogative. Hope I haven't completely overstepped my bounds. I mean in any normal circumstance I would've been out of line here, but he asked if I could add anything, so I'm tryin' to help out.

Cause beginning of life to come to an end, (Ifrit) (Fire)
Life’s story told in a place to mend. (Kalm)
Over an unwelcome touch a kind of storm, (Alexander) (Holy)
Use surer feet or land deformed. (Ancient Forest)
Deserved for breathing life back in, (Shiva) (Ice)
Stop a giant mastered from within. (Proud Clod)
When father’s daughter takes the crown, (Leviathan) (Water)
Overlooking two of nine’s hometown. (Mt. Nibel)
Responding with dance is slightly strange, (Choco/Mog) (*non-elemental*)
Do spaceship watchers ever change? (people in Rocket Town)
From Alpha to Omega the elements combined, (Fire, Holy, Ice, Water, *non-elemental*) in alphabetical order. The stanzas arranged spell out CLOUD SWORD now! So that's the missing step to get CLOUD SWORD, I assume now that they are in order something esle should appear from the riddle possibly to do with the towns. Any ideas?
FFs completed: IV,V,VI,VII,VIII,XII
Currently playing: III
Thanks musenji, I was determined not to give a full explanation to that, its too much of a key point in the riddle... I didn't quite expect it to take that long of course
JonyH, thats it (except Choco/Mog is actually a Wind elemental).
Also, to people still wondering what the point of all that was, it was, as JonyH seems to have identified, to make clear what has and hasn't been used so far.
Not far to go!
EDIT: Almost forgot my own riddle solution thereActually there is more point to that move than simply discovering CLOUD SWORD, but don't worry, that is the complete solution up until the final two lines.
I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
So the final answer is a person?
Is it (Mr. Obvious) Cloud himself?
I could be wrong here but is it the Heaven's Cloud sword I figues the last line is refering to the fact that the lower his HP is the less damage this weapon does?
No and no :P Here's a hint, the solution to the riddle MAY require you to not ignore half of the lines, if you haven't used everything, you aint got the answer
Also, I should point out that a while back someone solved a huge chunk of the next line, but I didn't mention it at the time because it would have confused things... Its part of the section where I said a whole load of people got things right (most of which have now been identified such as the elements etc.)
Also also, the time has come where you need to look at the whole riddle. You still can't get the answer in one step (I buried it deep), but it is VERY soon.
If noone gets the next step soon then I'll give hints, but it would be nice to see the working done after all this timeEspecially as the majority of it (and believe me this line is not easy) has been done already

I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
On the Cloud Sword matter:
Defeating Proud Clod gets you the Ragnarok.
In Kalm you can buy the Mythril Saber.
The old man in Rocket Town gives you the Yoshiyuki.
You'll find the Rune Blade on Mt. Nibel.
In Ancient forest, you can get the Apocalypse.
Edit: I just saw this part had already been posted, but I figured it out myself anyway(end edit)
Finding these weapons could be the research mentioned. "Another glance" gets me further: With the stanzas put in the elemental/alphabetical order, the weapons' starting letters spell "MARRY". And exactly who would love the chance of marriage? How about Priscilla ("Cause you're gonna marry me one day").
My guess for the answer is Priscilla.

I was expecting a LITTLE bit of groping around before someone got it! Congratulations Rantzien!
Seriously, well done to everyone who contributed to solving this, I was amazed it got stuck out as long as it did, so thank you
Well I enjoyed thatRantzien, you're up!
EDIT: Oh, and for reference the title "The Tango Riddle" was meant to refer to the fact that the early lines were designed to move around in pairs. The full solution (its now spread over several pages was):
“The Tango Riddle”
Deserved for breathing life back in, (Shiva)
Stop a giant mastered from within. (Proud Clod)
Cause beginning of life to come to an end, (Ifrit)
Life’s story told in a place to mend. (Kalm)
Responding with dance is slightly strange, (Choco/Mog)
Do spaceship watchers ever change? (people in Rocket Town)
When father’s daughter takes the crown, (Leviathan)
Overlooking two of nine’s hometown. (Mt. Nibel)
Over an unwelcome touch a kind of storm, (Alexander)
Use surer feet or land deformed. (Ancient Forest)
From Alpha to Omega the elements combined,
With a sidewards glance should your path unwind.
Some research done and one more glance,
Just exactly who would love this chance?
1) Break down the individual lines.
2) Notice each pair contains a summon and an event/place.
3) Use the alpha/omega/elements line combined with the fact this is "The tango riddle" to move the lines in pairs into the correct order.
4) Sidewards glance obviously to realize that the information you haven't yet used relates to Cloud's swords (you made this leap sooner than I expected )
5) Once the pairs have been moved to spell CLOUD SWORD, then the swords should automatically be in the correct order for MARRY.
6) Then yes, it was Priscilla I had in mind
I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
I thought "Tango" referred to that the solving was divided into "steps". Great riddle, I have to say.I'm sorry that I just barged in and sort of stole the answer from those who have helped solving it from the start.
This one is written quickly, it's likely to be easy:
I might be your rescue
or I might be your doom,
I can push you out of sight
my master left to loom
Signs of love will give you
the marksman's perfect sight,
while royal bling provides you
an army fit for fight
Sometimes I bring you demons
at other times I dance
But always when you see me
I am a game of chance!

Well I wouldn't have guessed the answer to the riddle before. The sad part is I don't use Slots. I prefer Dice.![]()
And as for the PhoenixAsh's riddle, it ranked up there with the infamous FFIX Riddle of Doom. But PhoenixAsh was a lot more gracious about it.
