It isn't the Dice Limit Break, though meeting Cid is (technically) mentioned in the riddle. However, it's not relevant, as it refers to the alternative to what the answer actually is.

Hmm, Cid joining your party is a big tipoff, so it sounds like either Temple of the Ancients, or Black Materia, or the Keystone. Or it might have something to do with Wutai.

"Curiosity killing the cat" doesn't refer to Cait Sith sacrificing himself, but actually refers to the famous idiom; in this case it relates to Cait Sith's curiosity getting to him.

"Else hold on until you are nine" does refer to Cid joining the party, so you wanna look for something that can be done before Cid joins.

I'm guessing that refers to Cait Sith joining your party because of his curiosity of the fortune he gives cloud... but I can't connect it with anything so bah!!! ><;
