Technically she's part of the storyline so I doubt it would be that. LN said to me on #EoFF that it wasn't part of the storyline :S
I'm going to say the Venus Gospel LN:
Humans dearest friend, <--- could refer to the fact it is Cid's ultimate weapon.
Always there in times of need, <---- You gain it from the guy who loved to look at Cid's rocket, he rewards you for your kindness in joining him as others think he is silly for having such a hobby.
In the ruins of great pride, <----- The rocket is no longer there, the guys pride was the rocket, and he felt sad that he no longer had the rocket to look at.
I here and now reside, <---- he just stands there as always.
