And in the same line you use red, you use the word "raging."

Violence (in thought or action) is the only thing I can think of that "red" would be taken to represent metaphorically (oh, wait, love too). The word "raging" certainly relates to violence..

So I'm thinking "redness of my sight" indicates anger towards something, or an inclination to violence.

Is this train of thought on the right track?
