When you say metaphor, do you mean metaphor or pun? In Lenna's last one, she said the line about redness of sight was a metaphor, when in fact it was a pun on the word "bull". (I really liked it, too--I'm a sucker for clever puns.)

I do know that if taken literally (as neither pun nor metaphor), "bespectacled" would mean "wearing glasses," not "flawed in some way."

somehow i get the impression it's to do with yuffie (youth's energy and she is the youngest) or maybe marlene?

youth energyu climaxes, maybe one of yuffies limits.

actually now that i think about it, is it those 2 kids in sector 7 slums trainging building that you show how to do limit breaks?

Why do you imprison your saviour?

Well, you thought about it, and it paid off. Correct.

No bespectacled ogre is this, - Not your ordinary school, now is it? No TEACHERS in GLASSES. Stereotype, but meh.
Unconventional means are the standard, - Duh. Attacking people?
When youths energy climaxes, - The kids limits.
A lifelong friend is born. - Limits are good all game long

That's not true Limit Breaker, that's only someone who wants to think sex. Climax is used quite alot in literal terms. Not just for the use of talking about sex.
    I'll figure it out later...

Limit Breaker, congrats on the dumbest post I have ever seen in a riddle thread. If its not in the bloody GAME how could it be the answer!?

w00t! i got one rite! i thought of sex the first time i read climax . . . anyway

thoughts in your mind send you off course
maybe you're hopeful, maybe you don't care
but thoughts send you to never ending violence
only to be saved by those deeming themselves helpful

this refers to a situation in the game, so i guess it's a when, or where.

Why do you imprison your saviour?

LN, that's uncalled for. You didn't have to call it "the dumbest post." There was a time, not too long ago, when riddlers had a bit of tact when addressing guessers. They didn't demand reasoning in every post, and they didn't insult guessers.

I agree that an answer to a riddle should always be from the game, and that guessers should not just post random guesses. But they still deserve common courtesy. It's not like they're trolls.

EDIT: I just remembered, you've been here longer than me. Don't you remember the time when riddlers didn't insult guessers?

Ill give courtesy where it is deserved and where it is recieved.
I definitly think that demanding reasoning is simply trying to improve the thread, and makes the riddle much more enjoyable for all involved.

EDIT : Yes, I recall those dark days. But, now is the golden ages of riddle. We aint like the FFX forum, we have quality riddle here! GUESSES spoil things, so do idiots who dont think straight to save their live. Listen, the riddler is providing a service to the guess, not the other way round.

I definitely disagree about this being the golden age...the golden age was over a year ago, in a different thread. Riddles were clear (not vague) but still difficult. They could require complex thought, but they were still accessible. They didn't have gaps in logic, where there was no way a person could get it without being led along.

Riddlers certainly didn't think they were serving people. They made riddles simply for the joy of making riddles.

Yet that is still providing a service, whatever the motive was.
Well, i dont think i was here a year ago. So therefore, it would be very stupid for me to call that the golden age, due to me having no experience of it. In the time that I have been here, this is the best so far.
