Do you mean that it is stupid for me to call it the golden age? I wasn't there at the time, but I've read through the whole thing. Here's the link:

Of course not all of the riddles are great. At the beginning it wasn't all that organized, but order came. I liked PhoenixAsh's riddles in particular. If you have time to spare, and like solving riddles, there are some real gems in here.

this refers to a situation in the game, so i guess it's a when, or where.

is it when Cloud's been drenched in the lifestream and has no power over himself? and then Tifa saves him by dragging his real memories out.

Thoughts in your mind send you off course - He has been dragged into a world where nothing is real, he doesn't understand or remember anything true, or he does but he questions whether they are real or fake.
Maybe you're hopeful, maybe you don't care - throughout the game, cloud comes across as arrogant, and says he doesn't care about the way things are or his memories. But then deeper inside he does seem to feel about certain things.
But thoughts send you to never ending violence - I think this refers to the fact he is thinking about that time in Nibelheim, it's a looping memory in his mind that he thought he was there but was told he wasn't. It was also a painful memory for him.
Only to be saved by those deemed themselves helpful - Tifa, she desperately tries to help cloud, as she hates to see him in the state that he's in, she wants him to know the truth about the situation and tries her hardest to help him follow his true memories.

As for you both, Musenji and LN, you both are being silly arguing over what riddles were and are.

Riddles are riddles, there are good ones and there are bad ones. I agree that it's pointless having people randomly guessing answers, but that's because if people guess and answer without any reasoning they can't help others look from another point of view, and if someone just randomly guesses an answer without thinking, they've not made an effort for it, therefore people who worked hard on solving the riddle have had their time wasted by someone just guessing for no reason.

As for the golden age, there is no golden age or worst age, there will always be good riddles and there will always be bad riddles. End of. There will always be dumb posters who don't know their left from their right, and there will be intellectual posters who want to do their best to give the public a good and entertaining guess or riddle.

Fighting over this is hardly smart either Musenji, it doesn't get you anywhere. L_N has his own opinions opposed to yours. Him expressing his opinions and then you questioning them is silly. You can't change a persons opinion. I agree that the post about his last riddle was quite dumb, but then it was a mistake to be made. That's most peoples problem, they don't think before they speak or post. They put the first thing that comes to their head and then it all backfires. L_N wasn't insulting the poster himself, he was giving his opinion about the 'Post', it was not flaming.

If you have a problem with L_N's way of thinking or with L_N himself I suggest that you PM him your arguments next time as this is a public riddle thread. The same goes for you L_N, if you want to post an argument do it in PM as it isn't fair to those trying to guess a riddle. After all this is a riddle thread.

    My apologies, Lenna.

If it isint your answer, could it be Vincent awaking?

He is lost in his thoughts, about Lucrecia, etc.
He doesnt really offer much opinion on it, he could be hopefully, or just apathetic.
His rages, and anger he demonstrates.
He is 'saved' by Cloud/Cid/Tifa, who take it upon themselves to help him.

That could be debated actually, Vincent's story isn't really told in detail with anyone else. No one really makes an effort to save him from anything, he struggles with the guilt throughout the game, he talks about it, but I don't recall anyone helping him other than taking him into the party.

It could be said the simple companionship shown to him by the party, in a way, help him through. By simply leaving him, as far as we can guess, he would simply have stayed in the coffin forever.

Hehe but your theory was based on the lucrecia story. That's nothing to do with leaving him in the coffin xD they didn't know about that then. xD :P

Is it by any chance the wutai events, when Yuffie and Elena are kidnapped?

thoughts in your mind send you off course <----- You're main thought is getting your materia back, that's all you wanted, you weren't really thinking about Yuffie's or Elena's life.
maybe you're hopeful, maybe you don't care <---- this could refer to the split companionship between the Turks. You think you can win with their help, or you don't really care about them, you just want to achieve your goal.
but thoughts send you to never ending violence <---- You end up fighting Rapps (I think? or is it the other one?) Then you end up seeing Don Corneo pushed off a cliff to his death. Also, this could refer to how you feel about the Turks. You despise them and they despise you, you want to fight but instead they trade their help for their lives.
only to be saved by those deeming themselves helpful <---- The turks offered their help to save Yuffie in return for help to save Elena. The Turks are a government organisation, which are supposed to be know to HELP the people of Midgar, when they are the opposite. They are supposed to be Midgars support, and thats how they're supposed to be thought of. So they aren't necessarily what they say they are, but it's what they claim they are.

Limit breaker, he said that it's an event, and secondly he also said that it's not part of the storyline. Hojo is. Read a bit more please instead of skipping posts.

    Default My Guess!

Is it when Cloud was just starting to regain his momory in Nibelheim?

The thoughts in your mind send you off course - refering to him remembering himself as if he was Zac.

Maybe your hopeful maybe you don't care - he didn't know how to feel

but thoughts send you to never ending violence - What he thinks is going on still always leads to a fight.

only to be saved by those deeming themselves helpful - his friends

    My guess:

Its The Event in the Nibelheim Villa, when you go back there after Cloud getting back his memory. It's the event when he remember his escape with Zack.

thoughts in your mind send you off course --> yeah when Cloud remembers
maybe you're hopeful, maybe you don't care --> when Cloud and Zack are on the pick up, Zack talks about what he want to do.
but thoughts send you to never ending violence --> When Cloud remembers he suffers
only to be saved by those deeming themselves helpful --> Hmmm, that could be Tifa when she helps him getting back his correct memories or Zack 'cause he helps Cloud to escape.
