Yeah, when I saw the real meaning...well, I didn't slap my forehead, but it made me think "good heavens, when he said 'a song by Madonna' he meant a song by Madonna." Awesome usage.

I'll have one up in roughly 10 hours. I have to sleep!

...Mmkay, here. This was a joint effort between Eagleheart and myself, but I'll be the "conductor" of the riddle, so to speak.



I am but a sign of the times, my friend,
the promise of better days;
Inspiring awe, then hatred and fear--
regret comes slow but stays.

I've travelled 'round the world, my friend,
by wing and wheel and rail,
watched creation bled to serve
and heard its solemn wail.

I've seen great mountains, and many a village,
touched clouds and the depths of the sea;
The riddle to solve is how, my friend,
these occurred simultaneously.
